Welcome Pack collection dates for Families starting in September 2021

Dear parents,

We have provided further information on collecting your welcome pack for Jolly Pirates Pre-School in the letter sent via email (6/7/2021).

We have included the same information below for reference.

Jolly Pirates are currently creating your child’s policy and procedures pack. The pack will include a welcome and information booklet, Education Authority record forms, core policies and procedure documents, term dates for the academic year and permission slips. The packs signature and permission forms must be completed and returned to us before your child starts Jolly Pirates Pre-School. We will also issue you with a password to log in to our policy section on the website, where you can view all school policies.

I have arranged two dates to call and collect your pack, Monday 26th July and Tuesday 27th July. You are welcome to call between 10.00am-11.30am and 2.00-5.00pm on these days. We are still currently operating under strict Covid-19 guidance. Therefore, please come to the front door of the main nursery building to collect your pack. I will then be able to meet you outdoors to say Hello and to issue you with the pack. If you cannot collect your pack on these dates/times, please let me know and I can schedule another date/time with you.

Jolly Pirates team.

Uniform Information for September 2021

Dear parents,

Please some information on uniform purchasing below. Information was also included in your parent letter sent via email (6/7/2021).

Our uniform is supplied by AJ Print and Embroidery based in Lisburn. To order uniform you can contact them on 07591073281/ 07732091448 or you can call into their shop to place/collect an order. AJ Print and Embroidery is located at:
Unit 2 Lisburn Enterprise Centre,
6 Enterprise Crescent,
Ballinderry Road,
Lisburn.
BT28 2BP

Compulsory items of uniform which can be purchased from the supplier are:
Red sweatshirt jumper with Jolly Pirates logo.
Royal blue polo top with Jolly Pirates logo.
From the supplier you can also purchase a school coat with logo if you would like to, but this is not a compulsory part of the uniform.

AJ Print and Embroidery are currently awaiting a bulk order to arrive of varying sizes in the sweatshirt jumper and polo top. They are hoping this will arrive with them by the end of this week for parents to order and purchase. They do have some limited stock currently, but they will be able to update you of sizes in stock and when your order should be ready for. We recommend you begin contacting them and ordering from next week to allow time for orders to be processed and completed.

Other compulsory items of uniform (which can be bought from any shop of your choosing):
Plain navy elasticated jogger bottoms.
Velcro shoes/trainers – please ensure these are suitable for outdoor and indoor use with good sole/grip. No open toe shoes and no laces please.
A suitable warm coat – either from the supplier or a coat of your choosing.

We do ask each day that a spare clothes bag/rucksack is brought with your child and placed on their peg whilst they are at Jolly Pirates. We ask that this includes spare clothing incase your child needs changed due to spillage or accident. Please ensure in the bag your child has a spare set of trousers, t-shirt, jumper, or jacket (if cold), socks and underwear.

At Jolly Pirates we provide outdoor weather suits for each child, which stay at Pre-School and your child can change into them when needed. We ask that parents provide a pair of wellington boots for their child to use during Autumn/Winter (wet/snow) weather. The wellington boots can be placed in your child’s bag, and we can access these when needed. If restrictions change and we are allowed to store items in the classroom, we will inform you and we can keep the wellington boots in class for them.

Pre-School can get a little messy at times whilst we are learning through play and during Covid-19 the guidance has asked schools to promote that children’s uniforms are laundered each evening to stop spread of infection. This is something parents may want to take into consideration when purchasing the uniform and how many items they wish to buy.
